The UAE’s Clara enters the US market, with Mintz partnership

UAE-founded legaltech startup Clara is entering into a partnership with US law firm Mintz, marking its entry into the US market, it announced in a statement earlier this week.

Clara is effectively a legal operating system that helps tech startup founders to set up, manage and grow their businesses, the statement notes. Clara digitizes legal knowledge and automates legal processes for startups. It provides startup founders with structures for company formation, fundraising, and legal compliance in key areas, among other things. So far, over 4000 startups have used Clara’s services, raising over USD 1 billion in venture capital, the statement adds.

The partnership with Mintz will enable Clara to further support its “growing roster of US-based customers,” Clara CEO Patrick Rogers said in the statement. As part of the partnership, Clara has built workflows that will allow startup founders to digitally set up companies headquartered in Delaware on its platform. Mintz’s templates and expertise have informed these workflows, the statement added. Mintz clients, meanwhile, will be able to enjoy discounted rates on Clara’s subscription-based services. And Clara customers that use Mintz as counsel will be afforded startup rates, the statement noted.
